IV Memorial Rapid Chess Tournament “Mahi Halili – Lala” (Popova Sapka, 22nd August, 2021)

1. IV Memorial Rapid Chess Tournament “Mahi Halili – Lala” will be held in hotel “Popova Sapka”, Popova Sapka, on 22nd, August (Sunday) 2021, organized by Chess Club “Anpasan SES”.

2. The tournament will be open participation type, nine (09) rounds Swiss system and will be rated for FIDE rating rapid list. The FIDE rules for Rapid Chess are valid according: Appendix A. Rapid chess, article A4.

3. The registration of the players will be no later than August 21th (Saturday).

The participants confirm their presence in the playing venue on August 22nd from 09.00-09.30.

5. Time control: 15 minutes for the game with 3 seconds increment starting from move 1

6. Entry fee: 500 den. per player

Chess players with international titles (FM, IM, GM, WFM, WIM, WGM) are not obliged to pay an entry fee.

(Organizer provide lunch for every participant)

7. Accommodation:

Price of accommodation and breakfast at the 4 star rated hotel "SCARDUS”, Popova Sapka: 1000,00 den per person.

8. Organizer will provide chess sets for all participants.

9. Prize fund is 1.650 EUR, and it will be divided on 10 regular and 7 special prizes.

Best placed player with a rating ≤ 2000 40 eur

Best placed player with a rating from 2001 to 2200 40 eur

Best placed player from ANPASAN SES Chess Club 40 eur

Best placed young player U18 20 eur

Best placed senior player S65 20 eur

Best placed women 20 eur

Best placed player from Tetovo 20 eur

*If a player wins two prizes, he/she will receive the higher one.

10.Tie Breaks:

The standings of players that finish with the same number of points, shall be determined by:

1. Bucholz Cut -1 ( without the weakest opponent)

2. Bucholz (full)

3. Number of wins

4. FIDE tiebreak (Progressive score)

5. FIDE tiebreak (Progressive score (fine))

11.Closing ceremony and proclamation of the winners will be 30 minutes after the last round.

12.The tournament will be held according to the Protocol for chess competitions during the Kovid 19 pandemic situation (which is an integral part of this call), approved by the Ministry of Health.
