INTERNATIONAL YOUTH CHESS FESTIVAL “LAKE QUEEN 2024”

REGULATIONS
The International Youth Chess Festival "Lake Queen 2024" will be held from 8th to 10th September 2024, at the "Drim” hotel in Struga.
The Festival includes four separated tournaments:
A Tournament - Players up to 20 (born 2004 or younger)
B Tournament – Players up to 12 (born 2012 or younger)
C Tournament - Players up to 10 (born 2014 or younger)
D Tournament - Players up to 08 (born 2016 or younger)
The players must confirm the participation by their presence in the playing hall at the “Drim” hotel in Struga, no later than 10:00 am on September 8th, 2024.
Organizer keeps the right to award wild card for some players.
The list of participants will be published on chess-results.com

8 September (Sunday)

The organizer reserves the right to change the playing schedule.
Players will be notified accordingly, in due course.
Playing System:
Tournament will be play acording Swiss System with 6 rounds.
The rate of play will be in accordance with the FIDE Rules.
A Tournament - 60 minutes for the whole game with 30 sec. increment, starting from the move one.
B Tournament - 60 minutes for the whole game with 30 sec. increment, starting from the move one.
C Tournament - 30 minutes for the whole game with 30 sec. increment, starting from the move one.
D Tournament - 30 minutes for the whole game with 10 sec. increment, starting from the move one.
Тhe A and B tournaments will be rated in FIDE.
Depending on the number of registered participants, the Organizer reserves the mright to change the format and number of tournaments (to combine some of the standard tournaments), which will be agreed and announced at the Opening Ceremony.
The participation fee:
A Tournament up to 20 - 900 denars
B Tournament up to 12 - 600 denars
C Tournament up to 10 - 500 denars
D Tournament up to 08 - 400 denars
Prizes:
The guaranteed total prize fund is 30.000 denars (500 eur).
A Tournament (up to 20 ) - 21.500 den
1 place 7.000 denars
2 place 6.000 denars
3 place 4.500 denars
Best player under 16 (regardless of age category) 1.000 denars
Best player under 14 (regardless of age category) 1.000 denars
Best female player 1.000 denars
Best player from Struga 1.000 denars
B Tournament (up to 12 ) - 8.500 den
1 place 3.000 denars
2 place 2.000 denars
3 place 1.500 denars
Best female player 1.000 denars
Best player from Struga 1.000 denars
All players in the C and D tournaments will be rewarded with suitable prizes!
Additional awards:
- Trophies and medals for the winners of the tournaments;
- Medals for the winners in all age categories of the tournaments;
- Certificates for all participants.
Payment of cash prizes:
- for domestic players - through transaction accounts, no later than 10 days after the end of the Festival,
- for foreign players - in cash, on the day of the end of the Festival.
