1. Junior Chess Festival Kvalitet 2025 is a traditional open chess tournament for any interested young chess player rated under 2400 and under 20 years old, organized by Chess Club Gambit Asseco SEE (http://gambit.com.mk) and Yahya Kemal Junior-Skopje supported by Erasmus+ program.
The chess festival consists of 3 (three) separate tournaments:
• Tournament A – U20 (born 2005 and younger) and ELO < 2400,
• Tournament B – U10 (born 2015 and younger),
• Tournament C – U08 (born 2017 and younger)
2. Tournaments will be held at the Yahya Kemal elementary school, Skopje, from 23.05.2025 (Friday) until 26.05.2025 (Monday)
3. Deadline for the registration of the players: 22.05.2025
4. Entry fee:
• 15 Euros (900 denars) for A tournament
• 10 Euros (600 denars) for tournament B and C.
5. Prizes in the total amount of 1,500 EUR will be distributed as follows:
OPEN Tournament A - U20 & ELO < 2400 (1,500 €)
1) 500 EUR 2) 300 EUR 3) 200 EUR 4) 160 EUR 5) 120 EUR 6) 100 EUR 7) 60 EUR 8) 60 EUR.
Hort system will be used for sharing prizes in case of tie until 5th place (including and finalized with 5th).
Trophy and medals will be provided for the winners of the tournaments as well as for the best players in the categories U12 (born 2013 and younger), U14 (born 2011 and younger) and U16 (born 2009 and younger).
OPEN Tournament B - U10 (2015 and younger)
Regular prizes:
1) Trophy, medal and tablet 2) Medal, mobile phone 3) Medal, smart watch 4) Stock price 5) Stock price 6) Stock price 7) Stock price 8) Stock price
Medals will be awarded for the best 3 girls
OPEN Tournament C – U08 (2017 and younger)
All players will receive stock prizes.
The winner will receive trophy.
No player can win more than one prize. Player will win the higher prize ordered by priority as listed in the regulations.

Tournament C – U8 (born 2017 and younger) will be held on 24.05.2025 (Saturday), with the following schedule:

The closing Ceremony for each tournament will be half an hour after finishing of the last round.
7. Organizer keeps the right to award wild card for some players.
8. The Tournaments will be played according to the rules of the Swiss System in 7 rounds.
The Tournament A – U20 & ELO < 2400 will be rated by FIDE.
Rate of play:
Tournament A – U20 & ELO < 2400 - 90 minutes for the whole game with 30 sec. increment, starting from the move one.
Tournament B - U10 (2015 and younger) - 30 minutes for the whole game with 30 sec. increment, starting from the move one.
Tournament C – U08 (2017 and younger) - 30 minutes for the whole game with 10 sec. increment, starting from the move one.
Electronic clocks will be used for measuring time.
9. Final ranking will be determined according the score (number of points won). In case of a tie, the following extra ratio will apply.
➢ Buchholz -1
➢ Bucholz
➢ Greater number of victories
➢ Acceleration
10. Players must arrive in the tournament hall no later than 30 minutes after the start of the play.
The player who comes later than this default time will lose the game.
11. A player may request one “bye” in the first 5 rounds of the tournament. For each requested “bye”, half point will be assigned.
12. All mobile phones, tablets, smart watches, and similar electronic devices are forbidden in the playing areas.
13. Nonresident players must provide their FIDE Identification Number (FIN) at the time of registration. If a player does not have a FIN, he/she must apply for it to his own federation before entering on the tournament.
