Venue: Sapientia University (Miercurea Ciuc, Piata Libertatii, 1).
Game mode: Open, 7 rounds, 90 minutes + 30 seconds/moves.
Schedule: Technical meeting Monday, 17.08.2026, 3:30 p.m. Rounds 1-6 between 17-22 August, daily from 4:00 p.m. Last round Sunday, 23.08 from 9:30 a.m. Awards ceremony: 23.08, 3:00 p.m.
Prizes (RON): Prize fund 15.000 (circa 3.000 EUR). Prizes are net and guaranteed, are not cumulative and are awarded in order of ranking. Special prizes (chess materials) will also be awarded!
A: I=2.000, II=1.500, III=1.000, IV=600, V=400. I. placed Woman, 65+, U20, U14, Élő U2200, U1800, U1400 = special prizes. Depending on the composition of the groups, other special prizes will be awarded, which will be announced after round 1.
B: I=600, II=500, III=400. First place: U12, U10 and U08 = special prizes.
C, D: Special prizes (chess materials)
Criteria in case of tie: 1. Buchholz, 2. Direct win, 3. Average rating (Élő) of opponents.
Entry fee (RON): A=300 (circa 60 €), GM, IM do not pay the fee; B=150 (circa 30 €); C, D= 0
Accommodation and meals: The organizer reserved 30 rooms in the Hotel Fenyő**** and 20 rooms in the Sapientia with 3 meals per day (with buffet breakfast) for the participants as follows:

Superior Room**** (15 rooms): 400 RON (80 €)/person/day, Single 480 RON (96 €)/day.
Standard Room*** (15 rooms) 320 RON (64 €)/person/day, Single 380 RON (76 €)/day.
Sapientia** (https://csik.sapientia.ro/en): modernized, WIFI, bathroom, private toilet, elevator, rooms with 2-3 beds – 230 RON (46 €)/person/day, single room 290 RON (58 €)/day. At Sapientia accommodation without board: 100 RON (20 €)/person/day, single room 160 RON (32 €)/day.
