24th Chess Festival "The Battle of Senta 1697", Senta, Serbia, July 11th – 18th 2020

Chess Club Senta organizes the 24th Chess Festival ,,The Battle of Senta 1697"  (4 groups: main tournament, B-group, children and BLITZ) to be held in Senta from 11th of July to 18th of July, 2020.

Co-subsidizers: the Secretariat for Sport and Youth of Autonomous Province Vojvodina and the local government of the Municipality of Senta! 

Tournament place of all groups: Sport Hall Senta, People’s Garden (Narodna bašta), Senta.  The opening ceremony will be on 11th of July, 2020, at 4.30 PM. 

The organizer provides digital chess-clocks and chess-sets for all groups.

I. MAIN TOURNAMENT – rating tournament, Swiss system FIDE – variants, 9 rounds

The playtime is 1 hour 30 minutes till the end of the games + 30 seconds after each move. 

Default time: 59 min. 59 sec.

NETO PRIZES:

I - 60.000 RSD + cup + medal, II - 40.000 RSD + medal, III - 25.000 RSD + medal, IV - 18.000 RSD,   V - 12.000 RSD,  VI - 8.000 RSD, VII - 6.000 RSD, VIII - 6.000 RSD, IX - 6.000 RSD, X - 6.000 RSD. 

Note: for the players with identical points who have 6,5 points or more, the prizes will be paid according to Hort-System. 

Special prizes:

For the best woman competitor without prize - 6.000 RSD, for the best senior born earlier than 1st of January, 1960 without prize - 6.000 RSD, for the best junior born after 31st of December, 2001  without prize - 6.000 RSD, for the best domestic player without prize - 6.000 RSD. 

Note: special prizes will be paid only in case that there are min. 3 players in each category. 

Each player may receive only one prize.

The prizes will be payed only for the competitors who will be participate in closing ceremony (cca. 20 minutes after the ending of last game) and who give us the copy of  their passport before the Closing Ceremony!

Right to play have all chess players with 2000 Elo-points or more - players under 2000 Elo-points only in limited number! 

The players who will not be paired in the first 5 rounds once have possibility to get ½ points.

Players with rating between 2200-2399: 2.300 RSD 3.100 RSD 3.900 RSD

Players with rating between 1600-1999: 5.000 RSD 7.000 RSD 9.000 RSD

Players with rating 2500 or more,WGM and GM: free entry. Players with rating 2400-2499,WIM and IM: free entry only in case if we receive their registration in written form until 29th of February, 2020!  

ATTENTION: ACCOMODATION (FULL BOARD) IS FREE OF CHARGE FOR GRANDMASTERS WITH RATING MORE THAN 2500 IN CASE, IF WE RECEIVE THEIR REGISTRATION IN WRITTEN FORM UNTIL 29th OF FEBRUARY, 2020!

II. B-tournament (max. 2100 Elo): Rating tournament, Swiss system FIDE – variants, 9 rounds

The playtime is 1 hour 30 minutes till the end of the games + 30 seconds after each move.

The players who will not be paired in the first 5 rounds once have possibility to get ½ points.

Accommodation possibilities:

Fantastico Wellness Center – Full board (accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner) in 2-bed rooms and 3-bed rooms for special price! The special price is valid only in case if the booking and the payment is made by Chess Club Senta. 

Please make the booking as soon as possible, because the accommodation capacities are limited!

We can confirm the booking after we receive the amount of the entry fee and of the security (30% of the price for the full board).

E-mail for preregistration for the main tournament and for the B-group: sentachess@gmail.com till 10th of July, 2020. Registration also possible at the tournament-hall at 1.00-4.00 PM on 19th of  July, 2019, when is necessary the registration for the preregistrated players also. Who fails to do it, will be not paired for the 1st round. The organizers will not repay the prepaid entry fee and the security for the player, who not starts without justified reasons. 

The rounds begin at 5.00 PM every day, except on Sunday 12st of July, 2020 when the rounds begin at 10.00 AM and 5.00 PM. The last, 9th round will be played on Saturday, 18th of July, 2020 at 10.00 AM.

III. Tournament for children: - NOT rated (15-15 minutes, FIDE-rules for rapidplay games)

Start at 10.00 AM on Saturday, 11th of July, 2020. 7 rounds, Swiss System FIDE – variants.

Right to play have the school and preschool age children (1st - 8th class in schoolyear 2019/2020). The tournament is played in one group.

Prizes: medals and diplomas for the best 3 boys and girls in two age categories: I - preschool and 1st – 4th class, II - 5th – 8th class.

IV. BLITZ – tournament: - Rating tournament 

Starts at 10.00 AM on Wednesday, 15th of July, 2020. 

Playtime: 3-3 minutes + 2 seconds after each move.  

FIDE-rules for BLITZ games, 11 rounds, Swiss System FIDE - variants.

Right to play have all chess players, but foreign players without Elo-points can compete only in case if they have a FIDE ID-number.

Entry fee: 600 RSD. GM: free entry.

Prizes: I - 3.000 RSD, II - 2.500 RSD, III - 2.000 RSD, IV - 1.500 RSD,   V - 1.000 RSD.

Registrations are possible only before 9.30 AM.
