Chess Festival "SILVER LAKE 2021" (23-30/6/2021, VELIKO GRADISTE, Serbia)


Municipality Veliko Gradište, Chess Club VGSK and Danubia Hotels are warmly welcoming all participants and guests to the Chess Festival “Silver Lake 2021″!
The Chess Festival will take place from 23-30th June, 2021, at the “Kamin hall” and “Great hall” of Danubia Park Hotel.
The Organizing Committee is preparing a rich programme for all ages and playing levels:
– Open “A”, tournament for players rated over 2000 FIDE
– Open “B”, tournament for players rated under 2200 FIDE
– Blitz FIDE rated tournament

Open "A"
OPEN tournament for players rated over 2000 FIDE. The organizer can include a limited number of players with lower elo.The Open "A" will be played according to FIDE rules over 9 rounds of Swiss system.
The tournament will be rated with FIDE and is valid for FIDE title norms.
The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves + 15 minutes until the end of the game + 30 seconds increment starting from move 1.
Prize fund 375.000 RSD (1 EUR=120 RSD, 1 USD=111 RSD, 1 CHF=113,5 RSD)
Regular prizes: 110.000, 70.000, 50.000, 30.000, 20.000, 18.000, 15.000, 12.000, 10.000, 10.000 RSD
The winner recieves a trophy
- Best placed U2300 player - 5.000 RSD
- Best placed U2200 player 5.000 RSD
- Best placed woman - 5.000 RSD
- Best placed veteran over 60 - 5.000 RSD
- Best placed player from Branicevo district - 5.000 RSD
- Best placed junior U18 - 5.000 RSD
The prizes will be divided according to Hort system. The special prizes are not divided and cannot be cumulated.
Prize fund is guaranteed if there are at least 100 participatns. Otherwise, prize fund will be published during the tournament.

GM, WGM, IM, ELO>2500 /Women ELO>2100 35 euro
ELO>2100 40 euro
ELO>2000 until 2099 60 euro
ELO 1900 until 1999 80 euro
ELO under 1900 120 euro
Open "B"
OPEN tournament for players rated under 2200 FIDE. The Open "B" will be played according to FIDE rules over 9 rounds of Swiss system. The tournament will be rated with FIDE.
The time control is 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment starting from move 1.
Prize fund 167.000 RSD (1 EUR=120 RSD, 1 USD=111 RSD, 1 CHF=113,5 RSD)
Regular prizes: 30.000, 25.000, 20.000, 15.000, 12.000, 11.000, 10.000, 9.000, 8.000, 7.000 RSD

The date and time will be announced at the start of the Festival. The tournament format is 11-round Swiss, computer pairings. The tournament is FIDE rated. The time control is 3 minutes per player + 2 seconds increment starting from move 1.
Prize fund 32.000 RSD (1 EUR=120 RSD, 1 USD=111 RSD, 1 CHF=113,5 RSD)
Regular prizes: 10.000, 7.000, 5.000, 4.000, 2,000 RSD
Best placed woman - 2.000 RSD
Best placed U18 junior - 2.000 RSD

Entry fee for all players is 5 EUR
Grandmasters, Woman Grandmasters and player with ELO>2500 do not pay entry fee

The playing venue:
The games will be played in the great hall of Hotel "Danubia Park" and in restaurant "Belvedere". Both localities are on the beginning of the promenade next to the lake.

Number of rooms in the hotel is limited and it is necessary to make an early reservation of accommodation.
The participants accommodated in the Hotel "Danubia Park” can use the “Aqua Park”.
The organizer is providing free accommodation and meals for Grandmasters (2-bed rooms). The interested players should contact the organizer for information.
The organizer will provide transfers from and to Belgrade Nikola Tesla airport at affordable prices (groups 1-4 people).
If there is interest from the participants, the organizer will prepare excursions to the Ethno Village, Roman city Viminacium, middle-age fortresses Golubac and Ram, and Orthodox Churches Nimnik and Sv.Petka.
