The ASD “La Regina” Chess Academy - Cattolica with the patronage of Municipality of Cattolica in the enchanting setting of the Hotel Kursaal in Cattolica has the privilege of organizing the following Chess Tournament:

Tournament structure
• Open Gm Mix : reserved for players with an Elo FIDE or FSI score above 2100 ;
• Open A : reserved for players with Elo FIDE or FSI score lower than 2200 and higher than 1800 ;
• Open B : reserved for players with an ELO FIDE or FSI score below 1800.
For admission to the tournaments, the Elo FIDE and FSI lists updated to 1 May 2021 will be considered.
All Italian and foreign players residing in Italy must be in possession of a valid FSI Agonistic Card (or Juniores if applicable) or sign it during the tournament.
Foreign players without Elo FIDE must be in possession of the FIN FIDE issued by the Federation to which they belong (or provisionally by FIDE Arena). For unrated players, it will be up to the Referee to find the data necessary to attribute to said players an adequate Elo.
Elo FIDE and FSI variations and promotions are governed by the FIDE and FSI regulations in force at the start date of the event.
The tournament will be valid for changes in the ITALY / FIDE elo and for obtaining international standards.
Reflection Time: 90 minutes + 30 seconds increase with each move + ( 15 Minute bonus at the 40th Move for the GM Mix only)

After a period of 30 days from the end of the Tournament, uncollected expense reimbursements will no longer be due.

Covid protocol
The tournament will comply with the health protocol in force for sporting events in order to minimize the risk of contagion. In order to avoid gatherings and exchange of cash, we ask players who wish to register for the tournament to pay the registration fee by bank transfer and NOT in cash in the gaming room (solution prohibited by the current anticovid protocol). Therefore this form of payment will be banned and it will be possible to register for the tournament only by advance bank transfer.
To register for the Tournament with Hotel Booking, a deposit (corresponding to € 15 per day per person) must be sent by bank transfer by May 20, 2021 .
The balance of the stay can be paid at the hotel by credit card, debit card, advance bank transfer or cash (checks are not accepted).
ATTENTION: the stay is considered booked when the deposit is paid.

ATTENTION: THIS YEAR DUE TO THE ANTICOVID HEALTH REGULATIONS IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO PAY FOR REGISTRATION IN THE GAMING ROOM, THEREFORE REGISTRATIONS TO THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED EXCLUSIVELY BY BANK TRANSFER TO BE SENT BY MAY 19 (DEADLINE FOR OPEN, BOTH AS REGARDS THE REGISTRATION FEES AND DEPOSITS).

THE PRESENCE OF SPECTATORS IN THE GAME ROOM DURING THE TOURNAMENT IS FORBIDDEN, WHETHER THEY ARE PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE COMPETITION, RELATIVES OF THE PLAYERS OR THE PLAYERS THEMSELVES ONCE THEIR GAME IS OVER. IT IS FORBIDDEN TO BRING MOBILE PHONES OR ELECTRONIC DEVICES INTO THE GAME ROOM. FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT DO WITHOUT IT, A BOX WILL BE PREPARED AT THE REFEREE TABLE IN WHICH THEY WILL BE OBLIGATORILY DEPOSITED. (NB THE ORGANIZATION ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEVICES LEFT IN CUSTODY).

Behavior in the gaming room
Smoking is strictly forbidden in the gaming room , even in the case of electronic cigarettes.
At the end of the match, the players are required to hand over the signed match forms to the referees .
During the game it is strictly forbidden to leave the playing area or talk to other players. The player has the possibility to speak only with his opponent, with the referee, or with a member of the organizational staff.
Dress Code : it is forbidden to show up in the Game Room with slippers (or in any case open footwear) and / or with a bathing suit or shorts and / or with a tank top, under penalty of forfeit defeat.
It is strictly forbidden to be in possession of electronic tools that have even only the theoretical possibility of communication.
A referee may request a player to be searched. If the player refuses, the referee will apply provisions in accordance with Article 12.9 of the FIDE Anti Cheating Regulation .
Anti-Cheating measures will be provided in accordance with the Anti-Cheating regulation in force.
The player who reaches the chessboard with more than 60 minutes of delay will lose the game.
The organization reserves the right to make changes to what is reported in the announcement if they are necessary for the success of the event.
Participation in the tournament implies the consent of each player to the publication of some personal data. For minors, this consent is implicitly given by the parents or by whoever exercises parental authority.
How to reach us
Cattolica is a famous seaside resort on the Romagna Riviera. Reaching it is really very easy.
From the North it is possible to take the A14 motorway From Bologna towards Ancona and take the exit (after Riccione) Cattolica - San Giovanni - Gabicce. Once you have exited the motorway, turning right towards Cattolica you can easily reach the city center.
From the South once again the most convenient way is always the A14 motorway towards Bologna.
From the Center and from the Tyrrhenian side there are several possibilities. One of these is the E45 highway which starts from Orte and cuts the peninsula in two until reaching Cesena Nord. From here it will be possible to connect to the A14 motorway towards Ancona. Another possibility is further south, the Superstrada called della Contessa that arrives in Fano and from here take the motorway towards the north, Bologna.
The gaming venue is located at the Hotel Kursaal , the historic Grand Hotel of the City, located in the center of the main square of Cattolica ( Piazza Primo Maggio ) and directly on the sea, offering hospitality of the highest level and unique views, with its wonderful baroque profile is certainly the most prestigious of the accommodations in the Queen of the Adriatic. The distance from the gaming venue is only 600 meters , which can be covered in 10 minutes via an enchanting walk on the walkway that runs along the beach.
For those who want a 4-star accommodation just a few meters from the gaming venue, we have entered into an agreement with Hotel Cristallo , located in Via Matteotti 37 , a 4-star hotel equipped with every comfort (fully air-conditioned, WiFi with optical fiber, minibar, Safe and bathroom with shower and hairdryer in all rooms, LED TV). The distance from the gaming venue is only 300 meters , which can be covered in 5 minutes by taking a walk through the streets of the city center.
