country and abroad

Players must have a valid medical certificate.

Final registration of players in the Municipal Hall (Dom kulture) 22.08.2026. until 3:00 p.m.

Game tempo: 90 minutes per player + 30 seconds allowance per turn The tournament is played using the Swiss system in 9 rounds - managed by the Swiss manager program. The tournament will be rated for FIDE rating list. The prize fund of the tournament amounts to € 4,000 and will be divided into five main prizes and nine special prizes. The three first place winners will also be awarded with trophies.

Prizes are paid out at the tournament or by giro and checking account within 7 days.

The registration fee for the competition is €40 if the application is made by August 21 and €25 for women and players under 18 years of age. Players with more than 2400 ELO points, as well as female players with more than 2200 points, do not pay the registration fee Payments with registration must be made to the giro account of the Straža Chess Club: Zagrebačka banka-ZABA (IBAN: HR1223600001101433699). State: "ZA 18.OPEN HUM NA SUTLI 2026", and enter the name and surname of the player for whom the payment was made. Payments must be made by August 21, 2026. On the day of the tournament, the entry fee is €45 and €30 for women and persons under 18 years of age.

If the number of participants is less than 60, the prizes are reduced by 20%.

If the number of participants is less than 50, the prizes are reduced by 30%.

PLAYERS WHO HAVE NOT PAYED THE REGISTRATION FEE BEFORE THE START OF THE FIRST ROUND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PERFORM.

Obligations: The player's obligation is to bring a digital chess watch. Ceremonial closing, announcement of the tournament winner and reception on August 29 2026. immediately after the end of the last game of the 9th round.
